The next element to consider is RAM. The most important detail here is represented by the size of the RAM, measured in gigabytes (Gb), this size is expressed in the powers of 2, that is, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc. Gb.
Current operating systems require at least 4 Gb of RAM, manufacturers boast that they go to smaller RAM sizes. And we’re only talking here about the operating system requirements here. If we also consider the optimal memory requirement for the operation of the programs we are going to use, we will have the surprise that the whole of our computing system runs very slowly... Due to the too-small size of the RAM.
So, everything would be depending on the budget, because these memories cost... My advice would be to stop talking about working memories less than 8 Gb of RAM (especially since the release of Windows 10, not to mention the 11)... And that's under conditions where we're going to use the computer to "basic stuff" (office, a movie "there," etc.).
If we focus on video processing, on "high-end" games, everything changes radically, the memory requirement being much higher, the minimum possible starting from 16 Gb "up".
And this detail is also especially noticeable on tablets and mobile devices that are large-sized ram-sized aids.
Summary, that's why this is required! RAM is a "functionality" through which the computing system loads in a "fast processing" area everything it needs for the operation of particular software (application, game, etc.) and, nowadays, simultaneously loads many, unimaginably many applications. In addition, the operating system, the computing system, as you want to consider, has a lot of "loaded" applications that work after a system technically called "interruptions".
These "interruptions" are a way of approaching "one at a time" the functionality of the computing machine, allowing, like a human, to complete the tasks that arise to solve it. More "plastic", if I have to solve two problems, one of physics and one of mathematics and I want to give the feeling, perception, etc. that everything goes simultaneously, "I write", "I solve" a step to the problem of physics, a "step" to the mathematics one, I make another "step" to the one of physics, one to the mathematics one, and so on until completion.
And, the more RAM I have, the more things I "fit" apparently (because, in fact, it’s a sum of operations performed at a huge speed of human perception) "simultaneous" to do...
Yes, we must consider here another detail, related to the working speed of these memories... At this point, only DDR-type memory is still used, this DDR means Double Data Rating. And, also at this point, almost archetypally, the DDR3 and DDR4 standard memories are used (obviously with major speeds increased compared to the simple standard, DDR).

But it's not over with the processor, with its description figures of... These processors have some particularly important features. They "can be" with 2, with 4 cores, with 8, 12, 16, 18, and double them... This is equivalent to having in our computer something like 2 processors, even if it emulates on the other 2 and seems to be a "quad", with 4 processors (quadcore), 8 processors, ("octa-core"), etc.
This, obviously, means an increasing computing power but also higher and higher prices... And, this detail is not to be neglected. At this time, the year 2021, systems based on I3 processors are almost outdated by the banal Microsoft Windows 10. As for the "fashionable", "high-end" games as the English speakers say, already the I5 is a minimal standard.
Then, if we consider the newcomer of Windows 11, this minimal standard is mandatory to be generational "from the year 2020 upwards" (which does the descriptive digits of the processor). So, in a "basic logic" it is obvious that the best option would be "come and an I5" (Ryzen 5) if I was going to use the computer to "basic things like internet, tab viewing, office suite and the like"... Or, "come on and an I7" (Ryzen 7) if I use the computer in games but without much pretense... At least in the time future horizon of a maximum of 3 years...
It is not difficult to deduce that a "weak" processor, in addition to the fact that some applications will not want to run, will also attract what will be immediately perceived as "very slow running", possibly the actual blocking of the system... Lock either in the sense that the user does not notice that it would work, although in the background it does everything it can or, blocking it literally... Without considering the possibility of not being able to use an "up to date" operating system.
And, significant would be the basic "working speed" of the processor, the basic CPU, which is measured is currently measured in gigahertz... There would still be details related to the socket, cache, memory support, and other technical data but, it is already too much for now.
In conclusion, the higher the "I" (7) or "R", the better, the higher the number of cores, the better, the higher the number of cores, the higher the "base clock speed" of the CPU, the better... Yes, the same with the other details...
It would be worth remembering here also the problem of the existence of a TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) processor - it also works 1.2 but it will not take long, and it will necessarily move to 2.0, the one considered standard at this time of launch of Windows 11. If you do not have this processor or specific port (TPM) free on the motherboard where you can mount the processor after purchasing it, obviously you will not be able to use Windows 11.

The computer case would be the first visible element... If we buy the computer system, as such, this element is only related to the appearance. Aesthetics, lights, functionality in size and expression of this dimension, etc... Insignificant details...
But, if we build our computer, it's all about the appearance, just the eyes?!? It is quite clear that this case must provide the necessary space for the "presence" of all that we want, with reference to the computer components that will result, in performance, hardware malleability, etc.
Then, especially importantly, in this case, will "include" the power supply. The basic benchmark to this would be, first of all, its power, expressed in watts (450W, 600W, etc.). If we are going to have a low power supply, it is obvious that we will not be able to sustain too many "internal" elements in operation, as there is no power to power all this.
In addition, a power supply without all the modern power ports can block your purchase of a better-performing network card, for example. And that's not necessarily due to the lack of extra power, but simply because there is not a simple "requested" power plug, even if standard, by that video card (or something else)...
Then, on the motherboard, in our times, there are components called "on board", that is, what is implemented directly in the motherboard we purchase. For those who aim to "be cheap", they can have an audio processor, video, network card, etc. very high performance in these "on board" inclusions...
Let's also remember, for those who are good at it, how important is the number of existing ports, from the PCI ones, even if they are "express", ending with the usual USB?!?
So, here's how many benchmarks can only be perceived when approaching the motherboard... But even here, you get to "what do you want to do" with that computing system.
But let's leave the motherboard and move on to the following points, useful also to those who simply buy a calculation system.
When you buy, for example from the big/ legacy distributors that we find in "supermarkets", you can only flirt based on the existing offer. This is the merchandise, that's what you buy... No talk about some configuration corrections or other similar operations... Here it's all about correctly identifying the configuration of that calculation system, not forgetting about "what you want to do"...
The first element to consider is the processor, CPU, or, completely, the Central Processing Unit.
At the moment, in the market, you will find the I3, I5, I7, I9 processors made by Intel, where the "I" comes from Intel, with their approximate R3, R5, R7 comparabilities made by AMD, where the "R" comes from Ryzen (the Intel range is much wider, for example, it is the "H" range that comes from Horizon and others).
At first glance, it's quite simple... You have to purchase an "I" or "H" with the highest possible number, symbolizing a kind of "higher" generation... But also, a higher price, the increase in the number generation being reflected in the decrease your account.
And, beware, this "bigger" is also a matter of the generation of that processor. For example, the newcomer Windows 11 requires, mandatory processor from a certain generation I5, for example, "up"... The lower generations will deprive you of the opportunity to use a minimal operating system of the current time...

In many ways, it is almost impossible to be able to give you some concrete advice.
Firstly, because the technology changing very fast, then because it is very important what you want to do with a computer system, whether it is a computer itself, whether it is a tablet or mobile/cellular (as they say) ...
So, from my point of view, a computer system is the one that is useful to you.
In these times, almost any activity "above" the field of hoeing, animals care, and the like, requires knowledge of computer use, possibly of computer science... But even for these activities, it seems that it would require some knowledge, related to the internet, at least...
Not to mention the daily life that requires social networks, online shopping, information about almost everything, job search, making "CVs", recommendations, tax payments, knowing the legislation, booking places at the restaurant, tickets to a show, including what would be related to fun, starting with just listening to music, watching movies, ending with your creation, regardless of the field.
Yes, I forgot, now we have software in cars, microwave ovens, TVs, smartphones, and more... Everything is more and more correlated, more interconnected...
I don’t think I have to take into account that knowing how to use the computer opens the way to many "somewhat better" trades, even if they will be very poorly paid (at least in Romania). What is certain is that to "possess" the computer and its applications is a huge advantage...
Moreover, the products "assimilable" to the computer, hardware, and software, as "precious" as they are cataloged, are constantly evolving, requiring continuous adaptation. Or, without "possessing" everything, to understand, properly, becomes an essential condition of everyone's ease of life... From all points of view...
So even I, after so long, I'm still learning, I'm adapting. And I'm sure I'll learn until my last minute dedicated to computers, or "supported" by them. But let’s go back to the computing systems and their acquisition!
The most important "detail" in purchasing a computer system is "money". Yes, this is the real issue of "first rank". Even though prices have dropped enormously, the vast majority of users are primarily faced with the issue of purchase value.
The next problem, even if it could be interpreted as the first one, is "What am I going to do with this computer?". This "what I'm going to do" has a direct link to the value that will be invested in the respective computer system... For those with money, this benchmark doesn't matter...
This logical sequence is pretty obvious, isn't it? If I know what budget I have, it is quite obvious that I will seek the maximum compromise to achieve the maximum of the proposed objectives or possibly "to be achieved". So, we can move on...
This is where a small problem comes in, we buy or build a computer. And it's not just a problem of money because the major importance is given to everything "what I'm going to do"...

On dorinm.ro we started an effort in this direction in the section "Let's do something / Let's make something" but in a short time we found that a huge synthesis effort is required that can be managed only with the help of a CMS (Content Management System)...
Which attracted a long period of time before I got to the conception of the new form of development, the present one, made in Joomla... After more testing in WordPress... WordPress remains my old love since I started on 01.01.2014 "The New Medicine" with its help...

From scratch... Starting from how we purchase an "IT" product, following the use of the computer assembly, from a zero level to a level as small as possible and/or advanced, both from a hardware and software point of view.
